Door Alignment and Adjustment

I realign and adjust doors so they open and close smoothly, latch correctly, and stop scraping your floors or rubbing the frame. Over time, hinges loosen, houses settle, and hardware shifts, which is why even newer doors can start to stick or swing by themselves.
I carefully check hinges, strike plates, and weatherstripping, then make precise adjustments rather than quick, sloppy cuts. That might mean tightening or shimming hinges, adjusting the latch position, trimming slightly when needed, and confirming the reveal around the door is even.
I also look for signs of moisture or frame damage that could cause problems later. When I am finished, the door shuts with a clean, solid click, gaps are minimized, and drafts are reduced, which helps with comfort and security throughout the home.
